CAD designer

Job Summary:

Create technical drawings, 3D models, and designs for various projects, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards. You will collaborate closely with the sales and production team to bring concepts to life.



QMS Training:

Provided on the job as required 

The CAD Designer will be responsible for the following Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drafting & Design: Translate specifications and requirements into detailed technical drawings, and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, Revise designs and layouts to correct deficiencies or improve productivity.
• Review designs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and manuals.
• Identify and solve design-related issues, ensuring designs are functional, cost-effective, and meet project requirements.
• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and techniques to enhance design efficiency and innovation.
• Work and communicate: with various team members (Sale, Customer, Engineering. Etc.) to translate conceptual designs into practical solutions.
• Time Management: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
• Plus: Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by management

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• Software Proficiency, SolidWorks and other design tools.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and construction methods.
• Minimum 2 yrs. experience in a related field or fulfilled with adequate on the job training
• Water Hydraulic experience a plus
• Training – provided on the job when required
